17 people died, 4 injured because of torrents in Marib
At least 17 people died and four others were injured Marib province on Monday due to the torrents resulting from the heavy rains witnessed by the province areas, a medical source told Yemen Press Agency.
The source explained that among the deaths were eight children and nine elderly people, and all died of drowning, except for one case of thunderbolt.
The deceased and injured cases are from in the districts of Serwah, Al-Juba, Harib, and the valley and the city, the source added.
Marib province is witnessing torrential floods, which caused great damage to the homes and farms of citizens, in addition to the displacement of more than a thousand families from their homes.
