Two abductees died after being tortured in prisons in Aden
Two kidnapped men died on Sunday after being tortured in one of prisons run by the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) militias in Yemen’s city of Aden, according to human rights sources.
The sources pointed out that the detainees died in Bir Ahmed prison as a result of being subjected to various torture by the STC militias.
Huda al-Sarari, the head of the Defense for Rights and Freedoms Foundation, confirmed that Abdul Fattah Jamagam, one of anti-STC leaders, was subjected to excessive torture and inhuman treatment, and transferred to a MSF hospital in the city.
She affirmed that Hussein Marwan Aidarous, died under torture last week, 12 days after he was kidnapped in a criminal investigation prison run by the STC’s militias in Khor Maksar district of Aden.
