Al-Qaeda elements attack residents of al-Soma’a district in Bayda

Elements of the so-called “Al-Qaeda” organization on Wednesday committed heinous crimes against residents of Aal Azzan and Aal al-Nashama areas in al-Soma’a district of Bayda province.

Local sources reported that the Al-Qaeda elements and Islah Party’s militia stormed late Tuesday evening Hajlan area in al-Somaa district with armored vehicles and military cars and attacked houses of Aal Azzan and Aal al-Nashama tribes.

The attacks left several dead and wounded among members of the two tribes, the sources added.

Military reinforcements still continue to arrive in the area to support the Al-Qaeda elements and Islah militias in their aggression on the tribes, according to the sources.
