STC’s militias surround Central Bank in Aden

The Central Bank in the port city of Aden, southern Yemen, on Sunday closed its doors and laid off its employees after it was surrounded by militias of the so-called Southern Transitional Council (STC).

Local sources in Aden told Yemen Press Agency that the bank evacuated its employees, after STC’s forces besieged it, despite the presence of Saudi forces in the vicinity of the bank.

The sources pointed out that military vehicles belonging to the STC forces were stationed at the bank’s external gates, apparently ready to storm it.
