Coalition mercenaries shell women’s prison in Taiz
Several women were killed and others injured due to the fall of a shell fired by Saudi-led coalition mercenaries at the building of women reformatory in the central prison, west of Taiz province, sources told Yemen Press Agency.
The reformatory was hit by a shell fired from the direction of the areas controlled by the coalition forces, the sources explained.
Security sources in Taiz affirmed that “the aggression coalition mercenaries, affiliated with Islah Party, intentionally bombed the prison and caused civilian victims in order to stir up the public opinion and divert the attention from the successive defeats of the Islah fighters on the Marib fronts.”
Politicians indicated that the Islah militants bombed Koval oil facility in Marib on Saturday and the women’s reformatory in Taiz on Sunday to employ the two events politically via media as a pressure card on Sanaa to stop the fighting in Marib.
On another hand, a civilian was killed and three children wounded as a result of the coalition forces’ shelling on residential neighborhood in Sala district in Taiz on Sunday midnight.
