Citizen killed in Aden

A citizen was killed on Saturday night by armed elements loyal to the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) in the southern port city of Aden, Southern media outlets reported.

According to the “Crater Sky website”, Mohammad Ahmed Sadiq was shot dead in the Sheikh Osman district by a soldier from the UAE-backed security forces.

Before his killing, the STC security belt forces tried to run over the citizen Mohammed by their military pickup vehicle in one of the streets.

Mohammed condemned the high speed that the military pickup was in, which later developed into dispute and a verbal altercation that ended with him shooting and killing him, the sources told Crater Sky.

The website added that the citizen was taken to a hospital run by Médecins Sans Frontières, but he died instantly.

On Wednesday, a citizen was killed by STC gunmen in the same circumstances near Al-Arish area of Khor Makser district and his body was taken al-Burihi Hospital.

The city of Aden has been witnessing security chaos since the control of Saudi-Emirati occupation forces over the city in 2015.
