Human Rights Minister Calls on International Organizations to Curb Spread Dengue Epidemic
Human Rights Minister Alia Faisal Abdul Latif has called on international organizations to shoulder their humanitarian duty to curb the spread of the dengue epidemic in Hodeidah and Taiz governorates and to avoid a health catastrophe.
The Minister of Human Rights stressed in a statement that the dengue fever is spreading in areas in Taiz governorate, after it had been in Jarahi and some areas of Hodeidah, describing it “a serious matter.”
She confirmed that international organizations are required to do their humanitarian duty to curb the spread of the dengue epidemic in the governorates of Hodeidah and Taiz. She said, “the deterioration of the health situation puts us all before a great responsibility for the lives of innocent people”.
Minister Alia pointed out that the spread of the epidemic comes in the light of the presence of international organizations working in the field of health protection, wondering about the most important duties of the organizations working in Yemen within the field of health relief.
