Oil Minister reveals volume of oil production, sales in Marib

The Minister of Oil and Minerals in the National Salvation Government, Ahmed Dars, revealed the volume of oil production from the Marib fields and the value of their daily sales.

He said the amount is enough to cover the payment of a half salary to all employees of the republic, but it is not “plundered from the coalition and its tools”.

“The total amount of oil and gas revenues in Marib alone, exceeds 700 million riyals a day,” the oil minister said. “The current production of oil is 80,000 barrels per day, sold by the aggression and its mercenaries in the black market.”

“The production of looted oil at its lowest level can cover a salary and a half for all employees from Saada to Socotra,” the Minister added. “Oil and gas sales accounted for 75% of the country’s revenues and more than $7 billion a year.”

“Today, these sales are out of revenue,” he said.

“A safer ship loaded with 1.278,000 barrels of oil  is posing  an environmental  threat and disaster. We have asked theUN to intervene to re-maintain it and we have found nothing but procrastination,” he concluded.
