FM meets UNDP official
Yemen’s Foreign Minister Hisham Sharaf met on Friday with the Executive Director of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Achim Steiner.
At the meeting, the minister stressed on importance of implementing the UN-brokered Stockholm Agreement to operate of Hodeidah port for improve the economic and humanitarian situation.
Sharaf called on the UNDP’s official to pressure on the Saudi-led coalition states to allow the entry of ships loaded with food and medical assistance, as well as oil derivatives to alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people.
The minister affirmed the National Salivation Government’s keenness to provide all necessary facilities to the UN organizations operating in Yemen to address the consequences of the humanitarian disaster caused by the Saudi aggression.
