The Saudi-Led Coalition Rapes Yemenis All Over Yemen

Y.a

Dozens of rape crimes in Aden, Al-Khukhah and Mukha have been committed and victims and their families are forced to remain silent.

The Ministry of Human Rights in the national Salvation government held the security and Human Rights Council “responsible for all the crimes and serious violations committed by Saudi-led aggression coalition against women and girls in Yemen, especially in Hodeidah.”

The ministry said that “the crime is enshrined in the Statute of the International Criminal Court and contravenes the UN Charter and Security Council resolution 1325 (2000), which calls for ensuring women’s safety, security and peace in their public environment, as well as the four Geneva Conventions which stipulate that women must be protected against any attack on their honor. ”

he US Daily Beast Newspaper published a report revealing the role of U.S. investigators in committing acts of torture alongside their Emirati counterparts in prisons in southern Yemen.

The Newspaper cited testimonies of two former detainees arrested by Emiratis, who confirmed that at least one American investigator was present while undergoing brutal torture, including beatings, electric shocks, rape and the use of fierce dogs.

Last year, the UAE forces raped a total of 200 detainees and forcibly disappeared in the port city of Aden, southern Yemen, according to a report issued by UN experts .The report said that the experts panel had conducted investigations into sexual violence, including the rape of adult male detainees by Emirati officers.

According to the detainees in the detention facility of the Saudi-led coalition in Boriqa district, they were interrogated naked, blindfolded and handcuffed, as well as they were sexually assaulted and raped.

The scandal of the murders and rapes of African refugees in Aden resulted in a shock that was not limited to Yemeni citizens, but international organizations as well. They have prompted the issue in a report that first talked about a policy appears systematic for the forces of invasion in Yemen.

In Iraq, the international organizations have documented thousands of cases and published horrific images of those stories inside and outside Abu Ghraib prison. Trump has recently appointed CIA official involved in torture and rape in Iraq. No American soldier has yet been charged for these crimes.

These crimes also confirm that American and British officers are responsible of the war against Yemen. With the same process in Iraq is done in Yemen.

In March 2015, the US -backed –Saudi-led coalition started  a war against Yemen with the declared aim of crushing the Houthi Ansarullah movement, who had taken over from the staunch Riyadh ally and fugitive former president Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi, while also seeking to secure the Saudi border with its southern neighbor. Three years and over 600,000 dead and injured Yemeni people and  prevented the patients from travelling abroad for treatment and blocked the entry of medicine into the war-torn country, the war has yielded little to that effect.

Despite the coalition claims that it is bombing the positions of the Ansarullah fighters, Saudi bombers are flattening residential areas and civilian infrastructures.

However, Saudi Arabia relies heavily on the US in its brutal war on Yemen. Washington has deployed a commando force on the Arab kingdom’s border with Yemen to help destroy arms belonging to Yemen’s popular Houthi Ansarullah movement. Washington has also provided logistical support and aerial refueling.
