Saudi occupation gunboats deployed to coast of Hawf district of Mahrah
MAHRAH, May 4 (YPA) – Saudi occupation forces on Friday afternoon deployed gunboats on the shores of the occupied province of Al Mahrah, in eastern of Yemen, local sources told Yemen Press Agency.
According to the sources, Saudi warships have been deployed on the coast of the Hawf district, which is witnessing popular protests overturning of Hawf district, “which is a natural UNESCO World Heritage Site”, to a military barracks by Saudi occupation troops.
Four boats carrying weapons and soldiers arrived on the coast of Hawf on Friday, one of the sources said.
The Saudi forces established a few months ago an observation tower on the shores of Hawf district, near a Saudi forces barracks, which was built last year.
“Saudi Arabia invaded the province with its army,” Salem Ali Qarhaf, Mahrah anti-Saudi protester said.
He further mocked Saudi claims that it came for reconstruction, despite the fact that there was no conflict in the province.
