Minister of Human Rights meets UNICEF Resident Representative

SANAA, March 9  (YPA) – Human Rights Minister Alia Faisal Abdullatif on Saturday met with UNICEF’s new Resident Representative for Yemen Sarah Bisulu Nianti.

In the meeting, the officials  reviewed the situation of children in Yemen in light of the aggression launched by Saudi-led coalition countries on Yemen for nearly five years as well as the all-out blockade imposed on the country.

The meeting touched on the cooperation between the Ministry and UNICEF and the joint objectives that will be implemented during the current period to alleviate the suffering of Yemen’s children in various areas related to childhood.

At the meeting, the Minister of Human Rights praised UNICEF’s role in sponsoring a number of projects for the protection of children in Yemen.
