Textile & Clothing Union condemns US aggression targeting cotton gin in Al-Hodeida

The Cooperative Union for Textiles and Clothing condemned the US aggression’s targeting of a cotton gin in Zabid district in Hodeida province.

In a statement, a copy of which was received by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), the Union condemned the US aggression’s persistence in widening the circle of suffering of the Yemenis and directly touching them in one of their sources of livelihood.

The statement considered the US, British and Zionist aggression and its targeting of civilian objects and service facilities in Yemen, including the cotton gin, a flagrant violation of international laws , norms, and aims to double the humanitarian and livelihood suffering of Yemenis.

It pointed out that the gin is one of the components of the textile industry that serves thousands of farmers’ families , producers, and is considered one of the tributaries of the economy.

The Union stressed that this American brutality against civilians and civilian objects will only make the Yemenis, especially the textile and garment workers sector, more determined to continue their support for the oppressed Palestinians in Gaza and the correctness of their absolute authorization to the revolution leader in all the choices he makes.

The union held America and its allies fully responsible for the economic and humanitarian repercussions of these crimes.
