Sana’a Denies Targeting Ships Unrelated to Israel
Government spokesman, Minister of Information Dhifullah Al-Shami clarified that the statement made by the US Secretary of Defense regarding Yemen’s alleged attack on commercial ships unrelated to Israel is completely false.
Al-Shami emphasized that the statement from the US Secretary of Defense proves to the world that the targeted ships were either Israeli, US, UK, or had some association with Israel.
He further highlighted that the Americans are attempting to portray themselves as defenders of the world while engaging in falsehoods to salvage a fraction of the prestige they lost during the Al-Aqsa Storm battle and the operations conducted by the Yemeni Armed Forces in the Red and Arab Seas against Israeli, US, and UK vessels.
Since the commencement of the Israeli regime’s relentless military campaign against Gaza in early October, the Yemenis have openly declared their support for Palestine’s struggle against the Israeli occupation. The Armed Forces have conducted recent attacks on ships with ties to Israel near Yemeni ports, including the interception and seizure of a vessel associated with the Tel Aviv regime on November 19.
The ongoing Israeli siege has inflicted heavy casualties on Palestinians in Gaza, who have been enduring the war since October 7.
Gaza’s Health Ministry said nearly 27,000 people, mostly women and children, had been killed in the war that the regime started following an operation staged by the Palestinian territory’s resistance movements.
