Abdulsalam: Yemen’s Operations Exerted Pressure Solely on Israeli Enemy
Yemeni head of National Delegation, Mohammed Abdulsalam, affirmed Friday that the US guards “Israel,” not the world as it claims.
He stated, “We only target Israeli ships or those heading to the ports of occupied Palestine. This is a natural right for Yemen however, US’s intervention has added further escalation.”
AbdulSalam added that the American-British bombardment is a blatant violation of Yemen’s sovereignty and a serious aggression against the Yemeni people. “Yemen does not seek escalation but has imposed rules of engagement in which not a single drop of blood has been shed, nor significant material losses,” he explained.
He further confirmed that Yemen’s operations have exerted pressure solely on the Israeli enemy, not on any country in the world. He pointed out that Yemen is committed to its stance of preventing the passage of Israeli ships at sea as long as the aggression and blockade on Gaza continues.
AbdulSalam noted that the position of the countries in the region calling for stability and denouncing escalation is positive and supports avoiding the expansion of the conflict.
He emphasized that Yemen is committed to the security and stability of the region, and their response will only target the American and British forces.
Earlier, the Yemeni Armed Forces reported carrying out a targeted operation against the American ship “Chem Ranger” in the Gulf of Aden on Friday.
Yahya Sare’e, the spokesperson for the Yemeni Armed Forces, stated in a release that the operation was conducted by the Yemeni Naval Forces using appropriate naval missiles, resulting in a direct hit.
“The operation stands as a response to the injustice suffered by the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and a reaction to the US-British aggression on our country,” he added.
Sare’e emphasized that a response to the US-UK aggression is inevitable, and any new attack will not go unanswered
Sare’e confirmed the prevention of Israeli ships or those heading to occupied Palestinian ports until the aggression ceases and the Gaza blockade is lifted.
Over the past month, the Yemeni Armed Forces have staged many such strikes against Israeli vessels or those bound for the occupied Palestinian territories’ ports.
The operations have been described as a response to the October 7-present war that the Israeli regime has been waging against Gaza following an operation carried out by the Palestinian territory’s resistance movements.
At least 24,620 Palestinians, around 70 percent of whom are women, children, and adolescents, have been killed in the brutal onslaught so far.
The United States and the UK have also conducted several missile attacks against Yemeni targets in response to the Yemeni strikes.
