Republic of Yemen protests US-UK aggression against Yemen
The caretaker Foreign Minister, Engineer Hisham Sharaf Abdullah, handed over to the Acting United Nations Resident Coordinator in Sana’a, Peter Hawkins, a letter of protest addressed to the Secretary-General of the United Nations regarding the American-British military aggression against the Republic of Yemen.
This came during a meeting with Engineer Sharaf, Acting United Nations Resident Coordinator in Sana’a.
The letter stressed that the American-British aggression is illegal and contrary to international law and the purposes of the United Nations Charter.
The protest letter indicated that the American-British aggression was preceded by spreading lies in order to mislead world public opinion and the Security Council’s adoption of Resolution 2722, which is a precedent that establishes legal chaos on the international scene that will lead to the emergence of various conflicts in the world.
The letter renewed Sana’a’s emphasis on holding the two countries of the American-British aggression responsible for the safety of maritime navigation and international trade in the Red Sea region and the Bab al-Mandab Strait, as the presence of American and British forces is illegal and is considered a form of occupation that must be fought by all countries overlooking the Red and Arabian Seas.
