YMU confirms its support for colleagues in Gaza Strip
The Yemeni Media Union(YMU) affirmed its support for media colleagues in Gaza Strip and exposed the genocide crimes committed by the Zionist-American aggression against our Palestinian brothers.
In a statement, the union’s executive office expressed its condolences on the martyrdom of colleague Samer Abu Daqqa, Al Jazeera cameraman, wishing recovery for colleague Wael Al Dahdouh, the channel’s correspondent, who were targeted by the Zionist enemy while covering the bombing of Farhana School in Khan Yunis.
The statement indicated that the Zionist enemy’s continued targeting of Palestinian media professionals confirms the persistence of this usurping entity in committing horrific crimes and its insistence on intimidating media professionals and intimidating them from exercising their duties in the areas it targets, with the aim of concealing the ongoing crimes of genocide since the start of the aggression against Gaza on the seventh of last October.
The targeting of media professionals was considered a testimony and condemnation of this usurping entity, as the number of martyred media professionals reached more than 72 media professionals, both male and female.
The Union called on media professionals and journalists in various countries of the world ,international human rights and media organizations to criminalize this targeting and show solidarity with Palestinian media professionals, especially since these crimes and violations are accompanied by unprecedented silence and international complicity led by America.
