PM receives ILO Regional Director
Caretaker Prime Minister Dr. Abdulaziz bin Habtoor received, today,Tuesday, in Sana’a, the Regional Director of the International Labor Organization, Dr. Ruba Jaradat, who is currently visiting Yemen.
The meeting, which was attended by the Minister of Social Affairs and Labor in the caretaker government, Obaid bin Dubai, the Minister of State for the Affairs of the parliament , Shura Council, Dr. Ali Abu Haliqa, and the Assistant Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers, Yahya Al-Hadi, discussed the organization’s activity during the past period, its current priorities, and ways to consolidate partnership in the fields of rehabilitation and training, especially with regard to supporting Programs designated for the disabled whose numbers have been increased by aggression, in addition to occupational health, safety programs, technical needs related to the rehabilitation and training process.
Bin Habtoor appreciated the efforts of the international organization in supporting the areas of training , qualification and its technical contribution in supporting a number of aspects related to work and workers.
In turn, Jaradat noted the vital partnership existing between the organization and Yemen, represented by the three working parties, noting the existing cooperation with a number of ministries and relevant authorities, especially in the sectors of technical ,vocational education, labor, social affairs, and technical support to other parties.
She stressed the keenness to develop cooperation relations with all governmental and private agencies related to the organization’s activities.
