Human Rights Minister meets Permanent Representative of UN Women in Sana’a

The Minister of Human Rights in the caretaker government, Ali Hussein Al-Dailami, discussed today with the Permanent Representative of UN Women in Sana’a, Dina Zorba, the activities and programs of the UN Women office in Yemen during the next phase.

The meeting, which was attended by the Ministry’s Director General of Women, Mona Al-Saqqaf, reviewed the negative consequences caused by the aggression and siege on society in Yemen, especially Yemeni women.

In the meeting, Minister Al-Dailami welcomed the Permanent Representative of UN Women and the accompanying team to Sana’a, stressing the Ministry of Human Rights’ interest in women’s issues and supporting its efforts in various fields.

For her part, Zorba expressed her happiness at the attention given by the Ministry of Human Rights to women’s issues.

She expressed her willingness to cooperate with the Ministry’s efforts to support and empower women, obtain their rights, and work to protect them.
