Rights Group Condemns Saudi-mercenaries’ Brutal Torture of Citizen in Taiz
Rights group condemned the attack by Saudi-Emirati mercenaries on citizen Abdulbaqi Mohammed Ahmed Al-Jaashni from the village of Dhi Al-Barah in Al-Misrakh district, Taiz Governorate.
Eye of Humanity Center for Rights and Development affirmed in a statement on Monday evening that this crime revealed the true face of these criminals who do not accept coexistence with others.
The statement called on the United Nations, the Security Council, and human rights organizations concerned with human rights to fulfill their responsibilities in protecting civilians from these crimes.
It also called on the honorable and free people to condemn these criminal acts carried out by the mercenaries of the US-Saudi aggression in the occupied areas.
Earlier, activists on social media platforms circulated a photo of Al-Jaashni being tortured inside one of the coalition camps in Taiz, southern Yemen.
Activists reported that Al-Jaashni was tied to a tree in Al-Misrakh district and brutally attacked by coalition recruits.
Taiz and other occupied provinces suffer from a state of security chaos and have become a scene of murders, kidnappings and torture of civilians. Violations and crimes are exacerbated in the areas under the control of the US-Saudi aggression and mercenaries, with the complicity of the security authorities there, which have reached the point of deliberately targeting civilians with killing and threats.
What is happening in occupied provinces are war crimes and flagrant violations of international human rights law and international humanitarian law. However, human rights organizations do not move a finger about these violations.
