FM meets ICRC regional director

Foreign Minister Hisham Sharaf met on Tuesday with International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) Regional Director for the Middle East and North Africa Fabrizio Carboni, and his accompanying delegation, who is currently visiting Yemen.

At the meeting, Sharaf stressed the importance of the visit to inspect the grievances of the Yemeni people, who are suffering the worst man-made humanitarian disaster created by the US-Saudi-UAE aggression coalition, which included all aspects of living and economic life.

The Foreign Minister praised the important role played by the ICRC, especially in light of the exceptional circumstances that Yemen is going through, and the provision of urgent humanitarian assistance, especially in the health and food aspect as well as its important role in supporting the prisoner exchange process.

For his part, Carboni appreciated the cooperation and coordination enjoyed by the mission.
