Citizen killed as result of explosion of an object of aggression remnants in Nehm

A citizen of the Nehm district of Sana’a province was killed following the explosion of an object left behind by the aggression remnants.

Yemen Executive Mine Action Centre (YEMAC) stated in a statement on Friday, that the removal and clearance of the sites from these residues has been almost completely halted since March 2023.

The statement noted that the cessation of donor support for the Centre’s activities, the widespread contamination from cluster bombs and remnants of war and the lack of detectors threatened civilians and new casualties despite their high numbers.
