UN Siding with US, Says Road to Peace in Yemen Long and Difficult

With the passage of more than 3000 days of the US-Saudi aggression against Yemen, with its brutal crimes and unfair blockade, which caused the worst humanitarian catastrophe in the world, the UN representative Hans Grundberg made new statements in which he said that the road to peace is going to be long and difficult.

In this way, and this method that follows the American agenda, the UN representative is trying to draw the future of Yemen in the international forum in The Hague. However, his talks about radical solutions to the crisis without paying attention to the obstacles of the countries of aggression who opposed humanitarian treatments, such as the payment of salaries, is nothing more than a speck of dust in the eyes Public opinion to deceive people inside and outside the besieged country.

The portrayal of the solution as long and difficult reflects the lumbering movement of the UN to help reach peace and its failed experience years ago. Whoever stands today unable to implement humanitarian issues first that will positively effected other more complicated issue,s is unable to reach a comprehensive peace solution.

What raises suspicion in the statements of the UN representative is his repeated description of what is happening in Yemen. He says the the solution comes from Yemenis in explicit bias with the countries of the aggression coalition and a clear deviation from the supposed neutrality from principles and charters of the UN in resolving conflicts, and a clear fallacy of the reality.

In his speech, the UN representative did not forget to exploit the suffering of the Yemeni people and shed crocodile tears by talking about the tragic humanitarian situation, in the framework of gaining sympathy and plundering donor money, which is one of the main reasons for prolonging the aggression and obstructing peace efforts.
Grundberg’s statements will not help in ending the US-Saudi aggression. Yemen, after more than 3000 days, is ready for a just and honorable peace, while it is more ready to defend the rights of its people, who realize that the US, just as it leads the aggression, is working hard to continue it and tighten the suffocating siege.
