New flights to carry pilgrims via Sanaa airport announced

The Sanaa government announced on Tuesday that it would operate new flights via Sanaa International Airport that would contribute to alleviating the suffering of Yemeni pilgrims in the areas under its control.

The announcement came through the Minister of Transport in the Sanaa government, Abdulwahab Al-Durra, who confirmed during an interview with the “Al-Mayadeen” channel that special flights to transport pilgrims would depart directly from Sanaa Airport to Jeddah.

This comes within the agreement to increase flights from Sanaa Airport to Amman and expand flights from Sanaa Airport to include Cairo, Bombay, and Jeddah.

According to observers, this step will reduce the exorbitant costs to which travelers are exposed as a result of extortion at the airports and crossings under the control of the Saudi-led coalition, as well as the threat to their lives as a result of road banditry and insecurity in the areas under the pro-coalition authorities.
