Minister of Youth: In 8 Years of US- Saudi Bombing, Sports Facilities Destroyed

The Ministry of Youth held a press conference, Sunday, to review the losses and damages of the crimes of the US-Saudi aggression on youth and sports facilities.

The Minister of Youth and Sports, Muhammad Al-Moaidi, stated that the US-Saudi aggression targeted 114 youth and sports facilities in 17 Yemeni governorates.

Al-Moayad indicated that the initial estimates of losses and damages resulting from the aggression coalition’s targeting of youth and sports facilities in the Republic of Yemen are more than one billion dollars.

Saudi Arabia, backed by the United States and regional allies, launched the war on Yemen in March 2015, claiming the goal of bringing the government of former Yemeni president Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi back to power.

The US-Saudi aggression continues to target neighborhoods and populated areas and destroy the infrastructure and capabilities of the country, in light of a suspicious international silence.

The war has left hundreds of thousands of Yemenis dead and displaced millions more. It has also destroyed Yemen’s infrastructure and spread famine and infectious diseases there.
