Defense Minister Maj. Gen. Mohammed Nasser al-Atafi briefed on Monday on the ceasefire violations by Saudi-led coalition in Hodeidah province.
During his visit to Joint Operations Room to monitor the violations, al-Atafi said that the redeployment by the Yemeni army forces from Hodeidah port and handing over it to the Yemeni Coast Guard Service is an important step to meet Sweden agreement.
The minister praised the great efforts exerted by the Room to serve the Yemeni people, who are still subjected to unjust siege, destruction infrastructures and the war of annihilation by the coalition forces.
The spokesman of the Armed Forces, General Yahya Sare’e, said on Sunday that the coalition and its paid fighters are delaying implementation of the agreement and continue their violations of the ceasefire in Hodeidah , committing more than 31 violations during the past 24 hours, despite the presence of the UN team and joint committees, pointing out that the agreement has so far been violated 801 times by the coalition forces.

In a separate context, the WFP alleged on Monday that food aid meant for starving Yemenis is being stolen and sold in some areas controlled by the Houthi Ansarullah movement.

He added that Yemeni forces refused to allow this food supply into the country because “it violates standards and regulations and is not suitable for human consumption.”
