PM participates in World Telecommunication, Information Society Day event
Prime Minister Abdulaziz bin Habtoor on Wednesday participated in the event organized by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology on the occasion of the World Telecommunication and Information Society Day under the slogan “Empowering the Least Developed Countries through Information and Communication Technology”.
The Prime Minister delivered a speech on the occasion, noting at its outset the importance of this event, which carries a global dimension in reminding everyone of their responsibilities towards supporting and entrusting this vital sector so that it can continue its achievements and the process of development and modernization at all levels.
Bin Habtoor also noted the level of success achieved by the telecommunications sector, despite the challenges and systematic targeting it was subjected to by the coalition of aggression and blockade, and its continuation to provide its valuable services to all the people of Yemen in all provinces.
He considered this event a message to the outside that Sana’a is determined to establish its civil institutions with close relations with the outside world based on equality, respect and high trust, whether it is the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology or other ministries and agencies linked to cooperative relations with international institutions and organizations.
He stressed that the unity is a national, humanitarian, and political issue that inclusive for all the Yemeni people, from Mahra province in the east to Hodeida province in the west, and from Aden province in the south to Midi area in Hajjah province in the north, pointing out that the new colonialists want, through their puppet tools, to suggest to others that they are they are about to separate.
Bin Habtoor stated that the UAE encouraged and paid millions of dollars to establish activities with a spirit and after separatism that did not find any echo, neither in the southern or northern provinces, because everyone is aware of the disastrous consequences of secession on the stability of the people and their homeland.
The Prime Minister indicated that the development of the form of the state and the future of political rule will be discussed by politicians later, while the idea of secession remains an issue that cannot be accepted by everyone, whether in the north or the south.
He stressed that May 22, 1990 was the brightest day in the life of the Yemeni person, a source of feelings of pride for the free people of Yemen, the Arab and Islamic nation, and even the whole world.
