London mobilizes ‘international coalition’ to supply Ukraine with F16 fighter jets
British Prime Minister announced that the United Kingdom intends to build an “international coalition” to help Ukraine acquire F16 fighter jets.
A statement issued by the British Prime Minister following British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak’s meeting with his Dutch counterpart Mark Rutte on Tuesday.
In the meeting they agreed to work on building international coalition to provide Ukraine with combat air capabilities, supporting with everything from training to procuring F16 jets.
Earlier on Tuesday, the British government announced its intention to deliver anti-aircraft missiles and hundreds of combat drones, with a range of more than 200 kilometers, to Ukraine.
This came on the occasion of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky’s visit to Britain on Monday, which Ukrainian media said was aimed at discussing the prospects for Ukraine to acquire Western-made fighter jets, as well as other weapons and military equipment.
