Moscow receives 5.5 million refugees from Donbass, Ukraine since February 2022

The number of refugees who have arrived in Russia from Donbass and Ukraine has risen to about 5.5 million, including 11,000 children Since February 2022.

Russian law enforcement agencies told TASS that nearly 39,000 people, including 15,000 children, remain in temporary accommodation centers, many of whom have been contained by their relatives, and part of them have left Russian territory.

According to TASS, the refugees at the temporary accommodation centers are provided with medical and legal assistance.

Also, they receive 10,000 rubles ($132) per person in one-time financial aid pursuant to the Russian government’s decision.
