Al-Mashat: Omani Delegation Positively Leading Negotiations with US-Saudi Aggression
The head of Supreme Political Council, Mahdi Al-Mashat, chaired a meeting with the government during which he explained the latest political developments and the results of the Negotiations with the US-Saudi Aggression through the Omani delegation visiting Sana’a.
He indicated that the consultations with the Omani delegation carried positive ideas related to humanitarian issues, including the payment of state employees wages from oil and gas revenues, opening of Sana’a Int. Airport and the port of Hodeidah, the opening of roads and exchange of prisoners.
In the meeting the President emphasized that humanitarian issues have priority over all considerations, and moving to any military and political issues will be achieved based on progress achieved to ease the impact of the aggression and siege.
The meeting also noted the keenness of the Supreme Political Council and the Salvation Government to make efforts to achieve comprehensive peace. They valued the steadfastness of the people of Yemen in the face of US-Saudi aggression for eight years, which caused the worst humanitarian crisis in the world.
The meeting denounced the Pro-Saudi government’s decision to raise the price of the illegal customs dollar to 750 riyals, and the rest of the economic measures that will lead to a rise in the prices of food and medicine commodities, fuel ships, and others.
The meeting called on merchants to import through the port of Hodeidah, where the price of a customs dollar is 250 Yemeni Riyals, alleviating the suffering of citizens.
Earlier, The head of the National Delegation, Mohammed Abdulsalam, stated that the visit of the Omani delegation comes, at this stage, as a continuation of the recent meetings, after conveying many messages.
Abdulsalam stressed that the popular voice has a very significant impact on the course of the political situation and the outcome of the negotiations. He pointed out that the humanitarian situation is at the forefront of the political and negotiating issue.
He pointed out that the Sultanate of Oman is making commendable efforts with international parties to achieve security and peace in Yemen.
He pointed out that “the intensive visits between Sana’a and Muscat reflect our seriousness in reaching achievable steps,” considering that the issue is due to the extent of the seriousness of the US-Saudi aggression party.
