17 people killed, 22 others injured in traffic accident in southeast China
At least 17 people were killed and 22 others injured in a traffic accident in the southeastern Chinese province of Jiangxi, China Global Television Network (CGTN) reported on Sunday.
“The accident caused 17 deaths, 22 people were injured, the injured have been sent to the hospital,” CGTN reported, citing local authorities.
The “major road traffic accident” took place just before 1am (1700 GMT) in Nanchang County, it reported.
“The cause of the accident is under in-depth investigation,” CGTN added.
On December 28, a huge traffic accident occurred in China that caused damage to more than 200 cars due to thick fog that obscured visibility in the Chinese city of Zhengzhou, and the accident resulted in the death of at least one person.
