Soqotri rare falcon appears in one of UAE exhibitions
SOCOTRA, Dec. 15 (YPA) – The famous and rare Soqotri falcon “Alswaeido” has appeared in one of the Emirati cultural exhibitions in recent days.
Activists on social media confirmed that the UAE has worked to loot and steal many rare trees and birds, including falcons known as ” Alswaeido “, which is the Yemeni island of Socotra, which has been controlled by Emirati forces since 2018, the original home of these species of extinct falcons in the world.
Sources pointed out that the appearance of the “Alswaeido” falcon, began emaciated and lonely while chained, amid mass Emirati public around him.
They explained that the appearance of the Flacon” in the UAE came days after the departure of Raafat Al-Thaqali , the Socotra governor, appointed by the Riyadh-Formed Presidential Council, to Abu Dhabi.
The UAE has looted many rare birds, trees and Yemeni marine life, including perennial turtles, to be settled in its areas, which constitutes a huge violation of the Yemeni environment on the World Heritage Island of Socotra.
