Discussing interventions of United Nations Development Program in Hodeida
Hodeida Governor,Muhammad Qahim, discussed with the Office Director of the United Nations Development Program in the province , Hema Khabka, the program’s interventions and activities.
The meeting, which was attended by Undersecretary of the province for Services Affairs, Muhammad Hulaisi, and a member of the Redeployment Coordination Committee, Major General Muhammad Al-Qadri, discussed the difficulties facing the progress of the program’s performance, and ways to overcome and address them.
He discussed the possibility of expanding support to include a number of basic service sectors in the governorate.
In the meeting, Governor Qahim stressed the importance of continuing cooperation between the local authority, the program, and directing the support provided through the program to some service sectors such as water and sanitation, works and roads, in a way that contributes to alleviating the suffering of citizens.
Qahim expressed hope to expand the program’s interventions to include more service sectors, including the mine center, which needs many devices and equipment for removing mines and cluster bombs from which the governorate suffers, in addition to raising the level of support for the water and sanitation, works, roads and cleaning sectors.
The UN official explained that the program has a package of programs that support a number of service sectors in the province, including mine center, which will begin to be implemented during the next year 2023.
