Coalition seizes diesel ship, prevents it from reaching Hodeida port

The US-backed Saudi-led coalition on Saturday seized a new diesel ship and prevented it from reaching the port of Hodeida, despite obtaining a United Nation permit.

Spokesman for the Yemeni Petroleum Company, Issam Al-Mutawakel, said in a brief statement: “The US-led aggression coalition carried out a new piracy operation, which was the seizure of the diesel ship (Oscar), and prevented it from reaching the port of Hodeida, despite being searched in Djibouti and obtaining a permit from the United Nations Verification and Inspection Mechanism (UNIVM).”

Al-Mutawakel held the United Nations and the coalition forces fully responsible for the direct and indirect effects resulting from their detention of fuel ships.

On Friday, YPC announced that the coalition is still holding three fuel ships for varying periods, one of them reached “15” days.
