Israeli occupation bulldozers level Palestinian lands, uproot olive trees in Az-Zawiya town
Israeli occupation forces’ military bulldozers razed dozens of donums of Palestinian lands while olive trees were cut down and uprooted at the northern entrance to the town of Az-Zawiya, west of Salfit in the occupied West Bank.
Maan News Agency quoted Azmi Shukair, director of public relations and media at Zawiya municipality saying, “The aim of the dredging operation is to build infrastructure and build water lines connecting the settlement of Ariel in the east to the settlement of al-Qana, northwest of the town.”
He denounced the Zionists’ razing of lands, uprooting and cutting down of perennial olive trees, calling on the relevant institutions to act urgently in order to put an end to these attacks, which target large areas and dozens of olive trees.
