Transport Minister confirms completion of most infrastructure repairs at Sana’a Airport
The Minister of Transport, Abdulwahab Yahya Al-Durra, on Tuesday confirmed that Sana’a International Airport has completed most of the repairs to the infrastructure destroyed by the aggression coalition aircraft.
During his inspection visit to Sana’a International Airport, Al-Durra pointed out that all the airport halls are operational and ready to receive travelers.
The Transport Minister affirmed that maintenance has been done for the technical equipment inside the halls to facilitate travel procedures, which have been suspended for more than eight years due to the aggression and siege.
“Sana’a International Airport was systematically destroyed by hundreds of raids, which no airport in the world has ever been exposed to,” he said. He explained that despite the destruction and great losses, the airport returned to providing his navigational services.
The minister pointed out that within the upcoming plans, “the airport will be modernized and developed according to the latest technologies, and the new building will be completed, which will accommodate large numbers of passengers.”
