2 children drowned in Sana’a

2 children drowned on Wednesday in one of the ponds that flooded with torrential rainwater in al-Haimah al-Dakhiliyah district in Sana’a province, a local official said.

The official added that Ezzedine Muhammad Harbat, 8, and Aseel Abdullah al-Basha, 10, were killed by drowning in a water pool in the village of Sharjah area.

Several areas in al-Haimah al-Dakhiliya district were severely damaged in houses, agricultural properties, and equipment as a result of the torrential rains.
