31 people killed in Sudan tribal clashes

At least 31 people were killed and 40 others injured on Saturday as a result of tribal clashes in the Sudanese city of Er Roseires.

The Security Committee of the Blue Nile State said in a statement that it had decided to ban gatherings and processions in all parts of the region during one month, according to the estimates of the security authorities.

On Friday, the city of Er Roseires witnessed bloody violence between the Hausa tribe and other tribal components, which led to destroying the shops, killings and widespread looting.
