2 air depressions threaten capital Sanaa, 6 Yemeni provinces
Climate experts have warned of the effects of the entry of the “Ghost” depression from the Indian Ocean on Yemeni provinces, which include heavy to medium rains during the next 48 hours.
The forecasts of numerical weather models also indicate the possibility of the direct effects of the “Monsoon” depression entering the Yemeni lands this evening through Jawf province and expanding towards the provinces of Marib, Sanaa, Saada, Amran and Hajjah.
It is expected that the Marib province will witness heavy rains tomorrow evening, and most Yemeni provinces will witness rains of varying intensity during the coming hours and early next week.
Meanwhile, the southern regions of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Sharurah and Najran, are witnessing heavy rains as a result of the direct effects of the monsoon depression coming from India last week, which focused on the Sultanate of Oman and the Empty Quarter desert.
