2 Omani fishermen found after missing for 9 days at sea

Two Omani fishermen who were missing at sea in Al Ashkharah in South Sharqiyah governorate have been found after 10 days search by merchant vessel sailing off near Pakistan coast.

“The two missing young men were found in good health,” local Omani media quoted a relative of the missing as saying.

He  confirmed that the two missing persons had lost their boat’s engine at sea, but God had mercy on them with a wind that took them off the Pakistani coast, where a merchant ship found them and provided them with assistance.

“ One of them was keeping the number of one of his friends, as he called him and reassured him about their condition, noting that the contact was for a short period, and that they are now on a commercial ship that will arrive in Pakistan within two days,” he stated .

“Coordination is under way with the Pakistani authorities to secure their return home ,” the Omani News Agency said.
