Hodeida governor meets media professionals, journalists, activists

An expanded media meeting in Hodeida province, headed by Hodeida governor Mohammed Qahim, discussed on Tuesday the role of the media in strengthening national unity and keeping pace with the requirements of the current stage.

The meeting, which included the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Yemen News Agency Saba – Editor-in-Chief Nasr al-Din Amer, reviewed the mechanisms for obtaining information from reliable sources, and not being drawn into malicious rumors.

The meeting stressed the need to hold periodic meetings between representatives of the media, the leadership of the local authority and the relevant authorities in the province stressing the importance of the media’s role in exposing the lies promoted by the aggression, by publishing facts that refute those lies and misleading rumors.

During the meeting, governor Qahim praised the role of media professionals in confronting the media machine of aggression that conveyed the facts and that revealed the plans of the aggression and the falseness of its allegations.

For his part, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) pointed out the importance of the role played by the media in Hodeida, despite the circumstances they are going through, which confirms that the people of Hodeida are the most valiant and powerful in the face of anyone who tampers with the capabilities and public tranquility of the country.

He pointed out that the journalists of Hodeida were and still are a role model in their performance, in light of the forgery pursued by the enemies of the nation, through what they presented from a media vision that is exceptional and stems from their awareness and sense of responsibility in this difficult period that the country is going through.
