UNDP’s projects to rehabilitate Hodeida ports discussed

The Yemeni Red Sea Ports Corporation, discussed here on Tuesday the implementation progress of the rehabilitation projects of the ports of Hodeida (Salif and Ras Issa) to be carried out by the UNDP.

 

The meeting, headed by the Corporation’s Vice Chairman Yahya Sharafuddin in the presence of UNDP Port Rehabilitation Project Manager Katie Kaputhia, touched on the achievement level of the projects in accordance with the timeframe agreed upon by the Corporation and the UNDP.

 

At the meeting, Sharafuddin emphasized the need for the UNDP to fulfill its promises, implement the priority projects and provide the necessary needs for the rehabilitation of the equipment that has been destroyed by the aggression at the ports.

 

For her part, the UNDP port rehabilitation project manager explained that UNDP understands the importance of the port of Hodeida and the need to rehabilitate and operate it to alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people.

 

She said that the UNDP spare no effort to provide the required equipment to operate the port.
