President Al-Mashat: Americans, British are in charge of file of economic war on Yemen
The President of the Supreme Political Council, Mahdi Al-Mashat, said on Tuesday that “the Americans and British are taking charge of the file of the economic war on Yemen to bring suffering to every home.”
President Al-Mashat confirmed during an interview with the official Yemen TV channel that “the enemy practices a policy of kneeling against the Yemenis and punishes them for rejecting its agenda and steadfastness in confronting it.”
He referred that the current fuel crisis is the culmination of an ongoing economic war since the US ambassador to Kuwait announced that he would work to strike the value of the local currency.
As for the high prices, President Al-Mashat said that the high prices are linked to the blockade, and the Saudi-led coalition is responsible for that.
He explained that the high prices of the stock exchange, maritime transport, fuel, and the embargo measures were the main reasons that contributed to the rise in commodities prices.
President Al-Mashat clarified that the National Salvation Government is engaged in an ongoing discussion with merchants, especially with the advent of the holy month of Ramadan to determine prices.
