Meteorology Center warns of widespread dust wave affecting 9 Yemeni provinces
The National Center of Meteorology on Sunday announced the presence of a widespread dust wave originating from the center of the Arabian Peninsula through the Empty Quarter desert.
The Center expected, in a statement, that the dust wave during the next 24 hours will affect parts of the desert areas of the provinces of Jawf, Marib, Shabwa, Hadramout, and Saada, and it is likely that it will also affect parts of the mountainous heights of the provinces of Saada, Amran, Sanaa, Dhamar and Bayda.
The Meteorology Center warned citizens, especially the sick, children, and the elderly, of the relatively cold weather and advised against direct exposure to dust.
It also warned drivers of vehicles on desert roads to avoid low horizontal visibility.
