Stranded Yemeni Pilgrims Return Home After Extended Delay in Saudi Arabia

A Yemenia Airlines plane arrived at Sana’a International Airport, Friday, carrying a number of Hajj pilgrims who had been stranded in Saudi Arabia after more than a week of Saudi obstinacy.

A special source told Almasirah that the return of the pilgrims stranded in Saudi Arabia came after warnings from the leadership about the continued procrastination and obstinacy of the Saudi regime.

The pilgrims expressed their happiness at returning to their homeland after a Hajj journey that faced many challenges.

Earlier, the Saudi authorities changed the return flight path of Yemenia Airways from Sana’a International Airport to Aden Airport. The pilgrims refused this change due to the additional costs and security risks associated with traveling through Aden Airport, which is controlled by UAE-backed forces with a notorious record of human rights violations, including the detention and abuse of travelers.

Additionally, these forces have a history of “robbing and killing travelers returning to northern Yemeni provinces.

In the same context, The leader of the revolution, Sayyed Abdulmalik Al-Houthi advised all Arab and Islamic countries to beware of getting involved with the Americans in using their countries to attack Yemen.

In a speech, highlighting the latest developments on Thursday, he pointed out that the US is seeking to involve others to fight Yemen on their behalf or to embroil them in problems, especially in light of their current difficulties with their aircraft carriers. He emphasized that the American agenda includes dragging Saudi Arabia into economic escalation, potentially harming the Yemeni people and obstructing the return of Yemeni pilgrims to Sana’a.

The leader warned the Saudi regime about the severe consequences of its continued stubbornness in preventing a Yemenia plane from transporting the remaining pilgrims to Sana’a, stating that such obstinacy damages Saudi Arabia’s reputation in front of its own people. He indicated that he would address the attempt to involve Saudi Arabia economically in a speech at the beginning of the new Hijri year.
